Administrative Assistant with Strong Typing Skills
Seeking full time, detail oriented, 5+ years experience, professional individual with excellent communication/organization skills. The right candidate will have excellent skills in Microsoft Word (typist with formal training, including STRONG FORMATTING and PROOFREADING SKILLS), Excel and Outlook. A/R and A/P experience helpful.
Some of the responsibilities included in this position are typing and proofreading correspondence and financial documents, schedule and accurately track appointments, assemble personal and business tax returns and financial statements, assist with billing and invoicing, back up receptionist with multi-line telephone system and daily front desk relief. Responsibilities would also include scanning, copying, faxing, local travel (generally less than 10 miles round trip) and other general administrative duties.
Hours 8: a.m. – 5:p.m. Monday – Friday
Overtime required February 1st – April 15th
Adding one evening a week until 7:30 p.m. and several Saturdays 8:45 a.m. – at least 3:00 p.m. from approximately the first Monday in February until April 15th (or later if 1040 filing deadline extended). Saturdays and one evening end after the filing deadline date.
Tax Preparer for 2022 Tax Season
Seeking tax preparers for the upcoming tax season. This is a position for the months February thru April with flexible schedule and hours. The candidate should have at least two years of tax preparation experience. ProSeries experience a plus. CPA license not required. Compensation based on experience. Clerical Assistant for 2022 Tax Season
Part time tax season positions available beginning approximately the first week in February and ending April 15. Responsibilities may include assembly of individual and business tax returns, answering multi-line telephone system, daily front desk relief, data base maintenance, scanning, copying, and faxing. Team accountants are given a wide variety of diversified accounting and tax assignments under the supervision of different professionals. Responsibilities include recording transactions, preparing trial balances and simple financial statements, reconciling bank accounts and tracing discrepancies, preparing tax returns and routine correspondence to taxing authorities, and performing schedule computations of accruals, property and equipment along with calculating depreciation expense. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience, well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles and personal income taxes, proficiency with computers, spreadsheet software programs and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely are among the qualifications for this position.
Tax preparers are responsible for organizing and coordinating clients’ tax data for the accurate and timely completion of individual tax returns and simple to moderately complex corporate, partnership, S-Corp. and trust tax returns. Responsibilities include reviewing tax information for completeness and preparing tax returns using tax preparation software. Knowledge of tax regulations, at least two years’ experience preparing tax returns and at least one year’s experience using computerized tax preparation, tax planning and tax research software are among the qualifications for this position.
